Fitness

We offer an incredible array of ways to change & enhance your wellbeing.

  • State-of-the-art cardio and strength training equipment
  • Pools
  • Gyms
  • Babysitting
  • Free Commit to be Fit training program
  • Friendly, community-like environment
  • Access to our other membership facilities in the area and at many Ys across the country

Getting fit isn’t easy. That’s where the YMCA’s Commit to be Fit program can help. Best of all it’s free to members!

You’ll meet with a personal fitness coach four times during a 12-week period. Coaches can answer questions, provide fitness equipment instruction, and offer support and encouragement as you increase your activity level.

Classes:

We offer fitness classes for everyone! They vary from location to location so call your local Y for their complete schedule.

This will give you an idea of what is available:

  • Boot Camp- combines circuits of cardio and strength training
  • Core Workout- combines Pilates, ball exercises and back/abdominal routines
  • Circuit Training- incorporates weights, bikes, steppers and jump ropes
  • Dynamic Definition- low-impact aerobic moves, free weights and bands
  • Group Cycling- high-energy indoor cycling workout
  • Low Impact- enhances flexibility, aerobic condition and muscle
Pilates- builds core strength and lengthens muscles
  • Step Aerobics-utilizes a “step up/step down” platform to intensify an overall cardio workout
  • Yoga- improves flexibility, increases stamina, builds strength and relaxation through postures and breathing techniques
