Child Care
Since 1972, the YMCA has been offering licensed child care services in 12 Chicago communities, establishing a safe and positive experience for children and enabling families to achieve self-sufficiency. The child care programs foster healthy development, provide educational activities and recreational fun. The YMCA is one of the largest licensed child care providers in the city and currently serves more than 850 Chicago children and their families.
Our child care centers offer:
- Programs for children 6wks-12 years old
- Free family membership with enrollment
- Yoga, swimming and sports
- College educated staff and low staff-to-child ratios
- Upgraded playground equipment
- Fun and exciting field trips
- Healthy snacks and meals
- Care for children with disabilities
- Transportation from local schools for school age child care
- NAEYC Accreditation at High Ridge and South Side YMCAs
