Marie Trzupek Lynch
Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning, New Ventures and Children's Services
Marie Lynch, Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning, New Ventures and Children's Services, has been with the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago since January 2007. Marie is responsible for leading the association's new strategic planning process and exploring possibilities for expansion and new development. She brings a methodical approach to the Y's decision-making process and aims to create the necessary structure to evaluate future collaborations and expanded presence in the region. She also oversees childcare and community school programming.
Previously, Marie served as the Director of Operations for the YMCA of the USA, where she led and managed internal operations. Marie was responsible for a range of operational areas, including Information Technology, Contact Center, Events Registrations, Strategic Sourcing/Purchasing, Meeting Planning, Facilities, and the National Headquarters Project.
Prior to joining YMCA of the USA, Marie served as a senior manager at consulting firm Deloitte & Touche, where she developed the firm's public sector and nonprofit consulting practice. Much of her work centered around technology, operations, and management of nonprofit and government organizations. Marie was also a leader in the Deloitte & Touche Solutions' Women's Initiative.
Before that, Marie worked for the Chief of Staff in the Mayor's Office of the City of Chicago. She was responsible for leading and solving operational and technology issues which crossed numerous City departments.
Marie is a member of the National Nonprofit CIO group, National Assembly COO Group, and Society for Information Technology. She is a board member for the Chicago Summer Business Institute and past board member of the South Side YMCA. In addition, she is a mentor for the University of Chicago's Public Policy program, and is an active volunteer at Frances Xavier Warde School. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois, and a master's degree in public policy from the University of Chicago. Marie is an avid runner who resides in Chicago with her husband, son and three daughters.
